Spring Cleaning Guilt
Do you have a lot of products cluttering up your bathroom? I always end up with 50 different soaps and lotions I want to get rid of, but when the amount of stuff you own is overwhelming, how do you get rid of anything?
You either feel guilty for having it or guilty for throwing it away.
But the guilt is from a thought we have that we shouldn't have so much stuff or we shouldn't waste. But then we get sucked into buying more at Target or from an Instagram ad.
So how do we move past this guilt and actually do something about it?
We face the guilt down, we process it, and we still do what is best for us!
Don't let the guilt from having 50 soaps you want to get rid of, prevent you from simplifying your life.
And guilt can lead us to consume more (which makes us feel more guilt and for more things to be in our house or, ultimately, the landfill - which creates more guilt)
So what do we do? We consume less in the first place!
And that starts with using up what you have now or giving/throwing it away, and then consume INTENTIONALLY when you actually need something, not when you feel bad or guilty and want a product to feel better about yourself.
Who knew spring cleaning was so in depth?!
