Slow life

what is slow life?

slow life is being aware and conscious of everything you do in your life.

our world is very concerned with productivity and being busy.

a busy mind can't focus on what is important, it is flowing on auto-pilot, going with the flow and following what other people are saying.

the goal of a slow life is to learn who you are, what your real opinions and thoughts are independent of everyone else and learn how to express them to the outside world with security in yourself. It is also being aware of the information and products you consume and how they affect the outside world. The sandwich you eat may seem harmless, but think of how the wheat was grown and processed to make the bread, the pesticides and what they do the earth and our ground water, how the meat was raised and butchered, the tomatoes and the farmers who picked it, what pesticides you're consuming, the plastic container the mayonaise was packaged in and the landfill it will go in once it's used up.

of course, we can't be aware of all these small things that are affected unless we grow our own food or buy from local farmers who are committed to treating the environment well.

it may be a lot to think about and it's an imperfect process (because there is no such thing as perfect)

slowing down will allow you to see all these things in the world. it can be a scary process and it can be a loving process.

it allows you to love yourself for who you are and everyone else for who they are.

slow life is love.
